Awhile back I wrote an article about IZ Adaptive clothing and their line of stylish adaptive clothing. Fashion is something that expresses our personality and how we want to be perceived. So variety and having choices is very important. Another stylish adaptive clothing choice out there is the Xeni Collection out of the United Kingdom.

Xeni Origins
The Xeni Collection was created by former architect Ann Oliver after she was diagnosed with multiple screosis (MS). As her MS progressed, she found that changing clothes became more challenging. Wanting clothing that was adaptive and to her style, she then started the Xeni Collection. Her clothing line features dresses, tunics, trousers, coats, and formal jackets. All fit for formal or professional circumstances.

Adaptive Features
The common feature among Xeni’s seated items are an open seat. Meaning the seated areas are cut out (as shown above). This makes putting on the clothing an easier task. The trousers are made with a higher back and no buttons or zippers. A lack of fasteners makes putting them on easier for people who have difficulty using their hands. Another accessible hand friendly feature are the magnetic buttons. Making for quick and easy fastening.

Future Accessible Jewelery
Oliver is also working on an accessible jewelry line. Accessible as in hand friendly like the magnetic buttons. She’s currently looking for jewelry makers to help with this so if you know one, send them her way.

Conclusion
This is a nice looking product line by someone who understands how helpful adaptive clothing can be. To see the full product line and read Ann Oliver’s blog, visit the Xeni Collection at www.XeniCollection.com.
