Bad Design Style: Case #42

I guess the good news here is that someone figured out this ramp was not safe or functional and blocked it with a fence. My guess is that this was put in for someone that was a wheelchair user living in the building. Then either they said “No way I’m using that ramp!” or they moved out.

I’m not saying there is an easy solution to make this entrance wheelchair accessible, but a ramp that steep with a curve is not the answer. The thing is the top landing is actually a pretty good size and possibly accessible for door opening. So a much lower sloped ramp or lift would make this entrance fairly accessible. As it stands now, this ramp is out of business.
