Bad Design Style: Case #69

Alright look, when you run a design blog chances are you appreciate art. And I definitely do. So while I appreciate making a wheelchair ramp look artistic, make sure it’s functional and safe first.

The main problem here is that there is no railing on one side which creates a definite dropoff hazard. The landing at the bottom of the ramp could be a little better to with a nice concrete pad. Though it’s hard to see exactly but the top landing might be unlevel also. So again, by all means make a decorative ramp, just remember that people might use it also.
