NPR’s Throughline Celebrates 30 Years of ADA
I’m terribly late on this, but back on July 26th, The Americans with Disabilities Act had it’s 30th anniversary. A groundbreaking law that truly reshaped the America that people with disabilities had to live in. Giving them opportunity, access, and dignity. While the ADA has done so much, there is still much more to do. Recently NPR’s fantastic history podcast Throughline did a show dedicated to ADA. They interview people who were directly involved with the disability rights movement. Hear their stories of what ADA has accomplished, and the challenges people with disabilities still face.
You can listen to the podcast above. It’s a fascinating listen and stories are full of passion. NPR has some great additional information and links as well. You can view them here.
